In January 1984, the Bell System divested itself into 7 regional operating companies with AT&T becoming primarily a long distance provider. Opportunity presented itself in a number of ways. Competitors soon came to market with long distance alternatives. Manufacturers followed with equipment options while service companies sprang up to fill the need.
BTS was founded in 1984 to help businesses put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Originally known as Business Telephone Supply the company has evolved from being a provider of telephone systems to offering a broad range of communications and technology based products and services.
Like the industry itself, BTS is much more than "business telephones" it’s "Business Technologies". Our staff includes trained system technicians, BICSI certified cabling technicians and installers and an RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer). Each trained to insure your systems equipment and structured cabling are uniquely designed and installed to the standards that will exceed your expectations. All installations are certified, tested and warranted to the manufacturers specifications.
The customer premise equipment includes Mitel, NEC and Toshiba. Each with its own version of IP, IP blended and TDM switches designed to best fit the customers needs. Both sales and technical staff are factory trained to help you identify and implement the best fit for your unique needs.
